The Wart Hog is a fabled lure with many a fish story to be told. Legendary side-to-side action at all speeds with a loud rattle and just the right patterns for any condition.
It short of has a short far cast with my other lures. It a bit on the light side. It does cast half way from 75 Feet to 80 Feet with a 6 1/2 Foot Medium Heavy Pole From Ugly Stick. Using A spinning real for this lure. It does look real and movement is very good. I haven't caught a fish on it yet. Because it was early spring and the water was muddy and the water temps was around 43F. It does feel like a fish and swim well.
It works well for stationary water or slow-moving cought two beautiful browns on the light trout pattern both over 25 inc
Hands down the best lure to get them chasing and biting. Both were caught with the red one.
Was very happy with these lures. I actually had 2 fish on at the same time but one got loose. I purchased the combination b. These lures sink so you need to reel a little fast, took a few cast to get the feel of it. They have good movement in the water. Highly recommend
10 casts in caught a garbage fish but it’s a fish.
